Summer Internship Program
Valley County Water District provides summer internship opportunities to help students gain practical work experience and on-the-job training administered to integrate education, career development, and public service from the perspective of a publicly operated water utility.
Potential Candidates must reside within the service area of VCWD and attend Baldwin Park High School, Sierra Vista High School, or North Park High School. Students must either be entering their Senior year of high school or entering their first year of college at the conclusion of the program. A valid Student Work Permit will be required upon appointment if the applicant is not 18 years of age at the time of appointment. Duration of Summer Internships can be from June 1st to August 31st.
Valley County Water District treats internship positions as any other recruitment.

College Internship Program
The District will recruit for a special project internship opportunity for college students enrolled in a local college or university within a 40-mile radius. Interns will be responsible of assisting the District’s social media sites, public outreach program, and other administrative duties given by the mentor and management of the District. Interns will be responsible for communicating with their school departments to determine whether they are able to use this internship opportunity as college credit.
